I borrowed this image from the web. Zanesville Street Railway #11, Cincinnati Car Co. built, 1906, renumbered later to #86. From Bill Volkmer collection.A story is formulating in my head. It's on the tip of my tongue or is that my finger tips? It's still elusive, though I can hear voices talking as if from far away. I can hear the chug, chug, chugging of a motorcar. It's definitely a historical piece that is clammoring to find its way to the front of my mind. I wonder if it's cutting it close for flappers to have used the transit?
This is what I am seeing... A streetcar with flappers hanging out of the windows... Hmm! And all inspired by this picture I took of a defunct track between Putnam Ave. and Woodlawn Ave. in Zanesville.
I anxiously await to see how this story turns out!
