A Place where this writer, Rita L. Smith, can write about writing or whatever comes to mind.

BUSY AS A BEE
Sometimes, I wish that I didn't have so many obligations. I miss those days of curling up in bed when the fibromyalgia is acting up, which is usually after weather shifts. Unfortunately, that is a luxury that is few and far between.
Today, I have been trying to put together an anthology for my writers group, Y-City Writers Forum. We will be selling them at the Y Bridge Arts Festival on August 5 & 6, as well as reading the stories there. It's really only a matter of cutting and pasting each story into one document and creating a table of contents, but it has taken me a couple of hours today.
In addition to this I am actively emailing and snail mailing authors to request autographed books for our conference. This is something that is time consuming, even if I cut and paste. As usual, errors still slip through. Where is an editor when you need one. (I need one looking over my shoulder.-Seriously!)
Tonight is the Write Away Writers Group, which I won't be attending unless my aches subside. Except for laundry and other household things, I have Thursday and Friday free. Or as free as it can be with a house guest.
Saturday, I will be selling and signing my flash fiction books at the Crooksville Art Walk. This is always a fun event. My niece has agreed to face paint vampire faces and bats on kids and maybe an adult or two.
