FRUSTRATION

Lately, I have been experiencing brain fog. It's one of the most frustrating symptoms of fibromyalgia. Words don't come out right, you misunderstand others or their words are garbled, my fingers have become dyslexic when I am typing and the list go on...

Usually, I am not bothered by most of the fms symptoms, but lately I am. Yesterday, I had trouble getting my hand to make a peace sign during Tai Chi. The left hand was doing what it was supposed to, but the right hand was off doing its own thing. I had to concentrate to get it to work correctly.

I am thankful for spell check, it catches my inverted letters in my words. So, I can write with little difficulty.

I don't know what is causing the exacerbation of my symptoms, though I suspect it's my reduced sleep. Something or someone always manages to awaken me from my sleep before my body is ready. The husband should know better and the dogs should be able to wait until six or seven in the morning. Oh, and I have a couple of cats who think my stomach is a bouncing board when I am sound asleep. I know I should shut the door with them on the other side, but I can't listen to the meowing or the whining. Yet, if things don't improve, I may have to do just that.

Sorry to hear your fibromyalgia is acting up. I really think sleep is of utmost importance for all people and that we, as Americans, don't realize how crucial sleep is to well-being. Check out the website or show, My Cat from Hell -- I think it's Animal Planet (Discovery) with Jackson Galaxy. Someone else had the same problem and he solved it. Maybe he has a place you can write in with a question.

Hugs to you. I'm very familiar with what you're saying. Living with a chronic disabling disease can be the pits! My problem is the older I get, the more advanced my CMT becomes(symptoms of fibromyalgia make up a small part of it).
I'm loving the past few weeks though because I've been busy with mental/computer work, got over my brain-haze/writers block and started a new novel, plus I'm even working outside weeding on my small vegetable patch a little!
Praying that you feel better soon.
Pam

Pam,

I hope you continue to have a reprieve from your illnesses. I am positive that uninterrupted sleep would work wonders for me.
